The Rochdale Graduate Employer Network (RGEN) has been created to provide a FREE brokerage service to: 

Local Employers looking for well educated employees.

Local graduates looking for long term employment.

  • This service has already been successfully used by many local employers including:-Scientific Ltd, Royal Bank of Scotland, Alpha Retail, Groundwork and Euler Hermes Credit Insurance
  • Graduates using all our survices have significantly increased their employment prospects

SERVICES FOR REGISTERED EMPLOYERS

Access to our graduate database. The database presently includes details of over 160 graduates with a wide range of skills (IT, Accounting & Finance, Engineering, Marketing & more) from which you can identify possible suitable employees.

RGEN team support. The team will take on the work of brokering the employer-graduate relationship. This involves matching the needs of both the employer and graduate in order to minimise your recruitment costs.

Technical & Business Support. RGEN in collaboration with Manchester Metropolitan University has access to a wide range of technical and business expertise and is eager to make this available to local companies.

Additionally any local company wishing to have an informal discussion will find us at the monthly Chamber of Commerce meetings held at Rochdale Football Club. RGEN is keen to contact as many local companies and Rochdale graduates as possible.

SERVICES FOR REGISTERED GRADUATES

  • RGEN will actively search for potential vacancies and inform graduates of any that match their specific skills.
  • A weekly email providing advice, information and guidance on job applications. The bulletin includes information on how to approach many large employers that wish to deal directly with graduates rather than agencies.
  • Advice on CVs and covering letters to help you present your information in a format that clearly addresses the requirements of the company.
  • Evening workshops on job search, applications, and interview skills.

Graduates who have attended these workshops have been three times more successful in finding subsequent employment.
